Along with a nightly national television show, stand up comedy appearances, film roles, books and many other projects that keep him busy, you might not know that Craig Ferguson has also made appearances performing for American troops overseas, including Kosovo and the Persian Gulf. Through the USO, he and hundreds of other performers are able to bring a touch of home, a laugh and a well-deserved break for men and women in uniform. Craig’s assistant Rebecca Tucker tweeted last night to remind us that the USO relies on donations from many sources to provide entertainment and support for military personnel around the globe: Looking for the perfect birthday gift for Craig? How about a donation to the USO https://www.uso.org/donate/

Late Late Show Executive Producer Peter Lassally will accept the show’s Peabody Award at a luncheon in New York on Monday.

In a recent interview with the website Hollywood Outbreak, Craig talks about wanting to be an astronaut when he was younger but how his focus turned to entertainment. In the short audio clip, he mentions that he’s writing a new book. In previous interviews, he has mentioned his three book deal with HarperCollins but there’s no word on a release date.

Craig’s guests tonight on the Late Late Show are How I Met Your Mother actor Bryan Cranston and from The Office, actress Angela Kinsey… and maybe if we’re lucky, more “high hair”.
