‘Crunch Time’ Approaches CF pilot show sl
Craig Ferguson took a little time for a “spring break,” but he’s back to work, recording new episodes of Celebrity Name Game and getting ready to tape the pilot episode of the sitcom Crunch Time, for NBC. As we reported last month, the half-hour show will focus on an up-and-coming producer named Jake (played by Kyle Howard) trying to deal with the crazy host of a TV game show named Toby (played by Craig). Deadline.com reports Caitlin McGee and Eugene Cordero have also been cast. Uproxx.com and The Hollywood Reporter have written about the show. THR notes in its Guide To Pilot Season that Crunch Time is one of 14 comedy pilots getting a look from NBC this year. One show, called Good Place, starring Kristen Bell and Ted Danson, has already been given a 13-episode order. Another, called Imaginary Friend, which won the network’s “Playground Comedy Initiative,” and is executive produced by Sean Hayes of Will and Grace fame, is expected to get strong consideration. Production for the Crunch Time pilot will be at NBC Universal in Los Angeles, and is scheduled for April 11, and April 16-22.

The the show’s guests got into the heated discussion, and even Rolling Stone magazine wrote about the episode.
