With Craig Ferguson‘s success on American television and Peter Capaldi‘s current role as the Doctor in Doctor Who, many fans are searching for details of the early days, when Craig and Peter were in a band together. The website WarpedFactor.com recently put together a piece retelling the story of the Dreamboys and other projects the two did together in the 1980s.

Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication. We really appreciate all that you do. Thank you for keeping up with Craigs schedules, media, tour dates, etc.

Special thanks to @bgrhubarb for being a ticket flogging genius, keeping on top of the latest Craigy Ferg tour dates, and also for going through all those tweets every day.

Thanks to malinky stoatir @malinky2stoatir for being an awesome General and for the videos, and answering the crazy questions over and over again. Thanks for all your support of His Chattiness. Also, thank you for the UnderpantsDanceParty. Just want you to know I think you are awesome.

Thanks to Mary Brewer @ChosenMert for your super quote. “While deconstructing a genre, you have constructed a family.” It was perfect.

Thank you to Stacey Smith @stackels for your heartfelt cover of the LLS theme song. I cried. (But I have been doing a lot of that lately)

Thanks to Josh Robert Thompson @joshrthompson for making us laugh, but mostly for making Craig laugh and making his job a little easier. You are so much more than Geoff Peterson. You’re a cool person. (I know it makes you uncomfortable to hear things like that but it is true.) Looking forward to new projects from you.

Thanks to Secretariat the “not a real horse” for your awesome dancing and Frisbee catching skills.

And Finally… Thank you Craig Ferguson @CraigyFerg for being the person that you are. Thanks for your honesty, your loyalty to those closest to you. For sharing not just the good times with us. Nobody else would take the time to discuss issues of the day, even though it was not their job. Thanks for just being you, and that includes times when you are the one being interviewed. Not just for shows like Kelly and Michael, or The Talk, or Rachel Ray. But the interviews with Keith Olbermann, and when Mitch Albom interviewed you backstage at the LLS in 2009. It goes without saying that you are also a brilliant writer. Thanks for staying and making our days more bearable, even when you didn’t want to. I am truly grateful. I am always inside my own head late at night when it gets quiet. (Thinking about my mistakes, regrets, who has hurt me physically, emotionally etc., people in my life who I wanted so desperately to help because I could not save myself. Loved ones who I have helplessly watched die and have yet to deal with.) My point is, (and I do have one) for that hour I was able to be distracted. I was able to get out of my head for a bit and for that I thank you. I would be lying if I said I am not a bit heartsick that the LLS with you at the wheel is coming to a close. It’s been quite a trip. I do understand that you are over it however. I am sure you will go on to do even bigger and greater things. I hope rumors are true that you have something in the works for the fall of 2015, but I will wait until I hear that from you. I didn’t watch the Late Late Show before you, and I will not be watching when you are through. I am sure there are many who will agree with me that no matter where they are taping it, or who is hosting it, The Late Late Show will ALWAYS be associated fondly with Craig Ferguson. The perfect blend of charm, brilliance, grit, defiance, and heart. The eyes and the accent don’t hurt either. You are a force to be reckoned with. Yep…I said it. ANYWAY……. Thanks for the 10 years. We are all going to miss you but we wish you all the best.
