Craig Red Nose DayUpdate: Craig Ferguson has been tapped to host the Red Nose Day prime time special on NBC, Thursday, May 26th at 9pm ET/PT. Red Nose Day, organized by Comic Relief, began in the UK as a way to raise money for children in need, and spread to the United States last year, raising more than 23 million dollars in its first outing stateside. Among the celebrities taking part this year will be Zac Efron, Chloe Grace Moretz, Anna Kendrick, Seth Rogen, Ludacris, Rose Byrne, Tracy Morgan, Emma Watson, Liam Neeson, Sarah Silverman and more.

Celebrity Name Game is only in its second season, and already its host has garnered one of the television industry’s highest awards twice. Although the event was not televised or live streamed online, word quickly spread on Sunday evening that Craig Ferguson won his second consecutive Daytime Emmy Award. Craig thanked Larry King on Twitter for his kind words, and then congratulated the show and many of the people behind it, for being honored again.

On Monday, he brought the Emmy statuette to the Celebrity Name Game studio. Craig was nominated for a prime time Emmy Award in 2006, early in his run on The Late Late Show in the since-retired category of Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program, which was won that year by Barry Manilow.

‘Name Game’ Rolls On
Craig Name Game slMeanwhile, Craig is moving full speed ahead into taping the second half of Season 3 of Celebrity Name Game. Shooting has wrapped up on the first half, which will air in the fall of 2016 and the early part of 2017. He still has 80 more episodes to record to finish off the third season, but some of those will be taped later in the year.

Just finished taping episode #400 of @CelebNameGame. I think we are beginning to figure it out.
