portland-orUpdate: Craig appears from time to time at charity events around the country, some of which don’t get much publicity. Case in point, he quietly appeared in Portland, Oregon on Wednesday, October 26th, at a fundraiser for a group called New Avenues for Youth, which addresses youth homelessness and helping at-risk teens overcome barriers to success. The only clue that he was in town was a photo he tweeted from Portland on Thursday morning. If you hear that Craig will be in your town, please let us know!

skylanders-academyUpdate: Actor/comedian Josh Robert Thompson will appear in the voice cast of Skylanders Academy, a new animated series based on the toys-to-life video games. The show debuts on Netflix on Friday, October 28. Check out the trailer. Josh says ironically (after his experience as Geoff the robot skeleton), he’s voicing the character of “skull,” a floating, talking skull along with other characters.

Josh, a big horror movie fan, is also taking part in a web show called Horror Fights on the Screen Junkies YouTube channel. He’s a panelist on this week’s show, discussing such topics as the deadliest Horror Movie Villain, horror movie tropes that should be retired and the greatest horror film director. The episode debuts on Saturday.

Craig Ferguson hits the road this week for a new leg of his New Deal Tour. Even he would admit this tour has had so many legs, it should be a centipede by now. The latest leg kicks off with stops out west in Tacoma and Snoqualmie in Washington and Reno, Nevada. Next week Craig heads east to Munhall, Pennsylvania; Kansas City, Missouri; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Grand Rapids, Michigan and Chicago. To check out the latest and most complete list of Craig’s appearances, see our Live Comedy Tour page.

Will you be attending one of Craig’s live stand up comedy performances in the next couple of weeks? We’d be happy to share your experience with the rest of the Robot Skeleton Army. Please send us your stories and your still photos (no flash photography and no video, please). You can send them to us using our Contact Us form and we’ll include them here on the website.

Game Show Question
millionaire-answerCraig has been the answer to a question on his own game show, Celebrity Name Game and has been the question to an answer on Jeopardy! more than once. He has even guest-hosted The Price Is Right. Now he’s popped up on another game show, as the correct answer to a multiple-choice question on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. Craig fan @monkeydog9 captured the moment on screen. Thanks to the RSA’s @bgrhubarb for spotting the tweet!

One of Craig’s show business pals, actor/writer/musician Hugh Laurie, got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week. The trade publication Variety covered the event, complete with video of the ceremony, which featured comments from Laurie’s longtime comedy partner, Stephen Fry.

High Fives
On Celebrity Name Game, Craig and the contestants prove that high fives aren’t always easy.
