Homeward Bound

Craig Ferguson has returned to Los Angeles from his holiday vacation in Scotland.  On the way home, he tweeted:

Fell asleep on public seating in Heathrow airport. Snorted. Woke myself up. Probably drooled too. #geezer #getoffmylawn.

Over the Holidays
In case you’ve been unplugged over the holidays, here’s a quick look at what you missed:  Scotland has high hopes for Brave, 411mania.com likes the LLS and Geoff Peterson, Josh Robert Thompson launched a new podcast, Entertainment Weekly praised the show, Craig wore a fun outfit and we had fun writing a little Christmas Eve poem with a Craig theme.

The UK’s Daily Record reports that the tenth Doctor Who, David Tennant has married the daughter of the fifth Doctor.

Tonight’s Guests
All-new episodes are back!  Monday on the Late Late Show, we’ll see one more fresh episode taped before the holidays with actor Tim Meadows, the music of Eliza Doolittle and comedian Myq Kaplan.  Tuesday, Craig is back with his first brand new show since the break, featuring actress Carrie Fisher and actor Matthew Gray Gubler.

The New York Times reports on the Showtime series House of Lies, featuring frequent LLS guests Kristen Bell and Don Cheadle, and mentions how Craig gave her a hard time about the show during a recent appearance.

Time is running out to vote on the TV.com polls for the Best Variety Show and Funniest Late Night Host categories. Voting ends Monday, January 2nd at midnight and winners will be announced on January 3rd. Jon Stewart has a health lead in the host category but the Late Late Show is leading in the show category. Vote early and often!

This Week’s Guests

Matthew Gray Gubler

As the new year begins, all-new episodes return to the Late Late Show.  On Monday, we’ll see a fresh episode taped back in December, in which Craig welcomes actor Tim Meadows, the music of Eliza Doolittle and comedian Myq Kaplan.  Tuesday, taping resumes at CBS Television City as actress Carrie Fisher returns to the show and Craig chats with actor Matthew Gray Gubler.  Wednesday, it’s rapper-turned actor RZA and actress Melissa Rauch.  Actor Tom Selleck and actress Daniela Ruah will be in the studio on Thursday.  And on Friday, Craig’s guests are actor Michael Clarke Duncan and actress Laura Prepon.

Craig Ferguson has been hosting the Late Late Show on CBS for seven years!  In that time, he has hosted 1439 shows and routinely draws well over a million viewers every weeknight.  Vacationing in Scotland, Craig tweeted late on New Year’s Eve:

The End of One Year, The Beginning of Another
Saturday, December 31st is New Year’s Eve, which Craig is enjoying in Scotland for Hogmanay.  Sunday, January 1st is of course New Year’s Day, with celebrations like the Mummer’s Parade in Philadelphia.
