Fan Sees LLS Live
CBS TV CityThe RSA’s Marilyn recent had a chance to see the Late Late Show live and in person at CBS Television City in Los Angeles. She sent us her story:

[stextbox id=”custom”]This was an “if/then” trip for me. I live in New Jersey and am visiting family in Sacramento, I asked my daughter to go to LA with me she said if we are going to LA, then we should take my great grandson (age 6) to Disneyland with his parents. So my desire to see Craig at work turned into a very expensive, once-in-a-lifetime family vacation.

Although I started looking for the tickets a month before the date I needed, I was put on a wait list. I did receive the tickets just a week before I flew west.

After a wait in line outside CBS because we were early, we were led to a covered seating area to receive instructions from Chunky B. We had some laughs there, then it was in and up to the studio. The people there were so nice to us and efficient. No cell phones or electronics are allowed, but they checked and held each one until after the show. They even have a portable metal scanner we walked through.

The halls of the building are what would be in any industrial building, but the studio and set are beautiful. I am partially handicapped and there is a nice elevator for those like me. The walk is up two floors (four flights of stairs).

We did receive “free candy” on the way to our seats. When Craig threw the chocolate dollars into the audience, I was lucky to get one, although I didn’t notice it under my seat until we were leaving. That is one candy that will never get eaten, as I will treasure it always.

It was a Thursday so there was a double taping. The shows both went by so fast that I couldn’t believe my watch when it was over. Of course, these are professional people who know their jobs. There was no stopping and doing over. Between shows, Craig was gone just long enough to change ties. Craig was his wonderful funny self and he does stand right in front of the camera for the monologue, just inches from the lens.

Loved it all and wish I could do it again.[/stextbox]
