Guest Fandango
Monday’s overrun of US Open tennis coverage on CBS started a bit of a scheduling dance for the Late Late Show, with producers moving guests around and trying to find a place for everyone to fit.  So far, it has resulted in a re-run on Monday and Monday’s planned guests (or rather, just one guest… more on that later) being moved to Tuesday.  We’re being told that the guests for Wednesday and Thursday should remain as originally advertised.  We’ve listed them below.  Meanwhile, James Woods (who was originally scheduled for Tuesday) could be placed in Friday’s show.  There’s no word so far on where Tuesday’s other guest, Kathryn Hahn or Friday’s other scheduled guests might go.

For the producers, it’s not just the time within each show that matters.  It’s also the timing of the guests’ appearances, most of whom are on the show to promote projects.  For instance, Lauren Graham‘s appearance was intended for Monday night, to encourage people to watch her show Parenthood on Tuesday evening.  Being moved still gave her a chance to promote the show, but after the fact.  Also missing in action is country singer Chris Young, who was to be on Monday’s show.  When most of Monday’s show, including the monologue and tweetmails moved to Tuesday, Young wasn’t included; bumped for time because of a longer interview with Lauren Graham and what appeared to be an impromptu performance by an aspiring singer named Marine Molé, who goes by the nickname “Rookie“.  What we know of her story is that she is from France and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a music career.  An appearance on the Late Late Show can’t hurt her chances.

The bottom line:  Wednesday’s and Thursday’s guests should appear as scheduled.  Friday could still change.  And we’ll of course let you know where the rest of the displaced guests end up.  We always have the most up-to-date and confirmed listings on our Guests page.  Craig tweeted about Wednesday’s show:

Tonight’s show blew my freakin mind. Moulin Rouge dancers- sexy. Olivia Munn- sexier Danny DeVito – sexiest. #lovemyjob

Tonight’s Guests
After Craig’s tweet, we’re confident that Wednesday’s guests are dancers from the Moulin Rouge, actor Danny DeVito and actress Olivia Munn.  Thursday’s schedule calls for actress Sigourney Weaver and comedian Ted Alexandro.  Friday is still a bit up in the air but we’ll keep you posted.
