Betty Rocks
Betty White has received many honors for her work in television, and now she can add a Guinness World Record to that list. As TV Week reports, White has been recognized in the category “Longest TV Career for an Entertainer (Female),” at an astonishing 74 years. She made her first appearance in 1939 and continues to delight audiences. In the past, the record was not split by gender. The male record-holder is Britain’s beloved (and often gently teased about his age) Bruce Forsyth, who at 85 years old has also been appearing on television for 74 years and currently hosts Strictly Come Dancing, the UK’s equivalent to Dancing with the Stars.
Esposito’s Appearance Cheered
Comedienne Cameron Esposito has been getting plenty of media attention since her appearance on The Late Late Show last week, in which Craig and guest Jay Leno invited her to sit with them halfway through her set and called her “the future of late-night” comedy. Among the outlets talking about her successful debut were the Chicago Sun-Times, ChicagoNow.com, SheWired.com, ChicagoReader.com, TheJaneDough.com, CBS 2 Television in Chicago and more. Other sites enjoyed Craig’s conversation with Jay about his upcoming retirement from The Tonight Show and his work on the road including Deadline.com, enstarz.com, the Huffington Post, .
