You’re welcome, gay robot fanatics. #RSA<\/a><\/p>\r\nCongratulations, Josh on a well-deserved reward for your hard work and your ability to keep Craig laughing.\r\n\r\nFerguson on Leno<\/strong><\/span>\r\n\"\"<\/a>The Tonight Show with Jay Leno<\/em> website shows Craig Ferguson<\/strong> as a guest on Wednesday, July 13th.\u00c2\u00a0 Thanks to the RSA’s Yo<\/strong> for sending us the link on NBC’s Tonight Show<\/em> website<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 The unusual situation of one late night host appearing on another’s show on a competing network is not unheard of… Craig appeared on Conan O’Brien<\/strong>‘s TBS late night show recently.\u00c2\u00a0 The appearance is likely (as the RSA’s Bruce Bromley<\/strong> suggested) a chance to promote Disney’s Winnie The Pooh<\/em>, which opens in wide release in the US and Canada two days later on Friday the 15th.\u00c2\u00a0 Craig is one of the most recognizable celebrity voices in the animated feature film, along with John Cleese<\/strong>… and because Craig is based in Los Angeles, The Tonight Show<\/em> an convenient stop for Disney’s promotion team to place one of the film’s billable stars.\u00c2\u00a0 The last time a competitor appeared on the Tonight Show, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel<\/strong> pointedly mocked host Jay Leno<\/strong> in the wake of NBC’s late night debacle that moved Leno to a prime time show, moved up O’Brien an hour to 11:35pm and subsequently dumped O’Brien to bring Leno back to his old time slot.\u00c2\u00a0 Time has passed since then.\u00c2\u00a0 Will there be any fireworks or will the talk be contained mostly to Craig’s role as Owl<\/strong> in the film?\u00c2\u00a0 We’ll find out on July 13th.\r\n\r\nDressing Paris<\/strong><\/span>\"\"<\/a>\r\nCraig’s banter with Paris Hilton<\/strong> over her shoulder-padded, 1960’s-evoking Judy Jetson<\/strong> or “air hostess” dress got some attention from New York Magazine<\/a>, Monsters & Critics<\/a>, FadedYouthBlog.com<\/a> and HeatWorld.com<\/a>.\r\n\r\nGaiman on Doctor Who<\/strong><\/span>\r\nBBC America took note of Neil Gaiman<\/strong>‘s appearance on the Late Late Show, in which the novelist (not to mention writer of the fourth episode of the current series of Doctor Who<\/em>) got to talk about his experience with the popular program.\r\n

Despite @neilhimself<\/a> wearing a black t shirt which was in flagrant disregard of my wishes, he was delightful. He smells like cherries.<\/p>\r\n\"\"<\/a>Gaiman tweeted that he had a good time:\r\n

Was so nervous before @CraigyFerg<\/a> taping. Then sat down at the desk & he was so welcoming & funny I forgot about everything except chatting.<\/p>\r\nNo Monologue Tuesday<\/strong><\/span>\r\nYou weren’t hallucinating… there was no monologue on Tuesday’s show.\u00c2\u00a0 We’re not sure of the reason.\u00c2\u00a0 Perhaps Craig just felt like zigging while others were zagging.\u00c2\u00a0 Or maybe because he missed the emails on Monday, he wanted to take ten minutes for email on Tuesday.\u00c2\u00a0 He might have wanted more time with Neil Gaiman.\u00c2\u00a0 Or as the RSA’s General @Malinky2Stoatir<\/strong> tweeted, the reason may have been more simple:\r\n

Craig mentioned during tonight’s cold open, that he had a lack of material…I guess it wasn’t a joke. \ud83d\ude41 #MissingMinologueAndThemeSong<\/a><\/p>\r\nThat may be it. Those who watched Monday’s monologue noticed that it contained more “late night jokes” than usual, too.\u00c2\u00a0 We’ll be watching Wednesday to see if Craig gets back to his usual routine.\u00c2\u00a0 Although, he may have done a monologue and pulled a Jedi mind trick to make us forget, as the RSA’s @bgrhubarb <\/strong>speculates:\r\n

Perhaps the monologue was all about mind control, and we’ve just been programmed to forget it. #MissingMonologue<\/a><\/p>\r\nIs Beaded Curtain a Thing?<\/strong><\/span>\"\"<\/a>\r\nIf it wasn’t, it is now.\u00c2\u00a0 Craig and Geoff’s conversation about beaded curtains got the RSA’s @doxieone1<\/strong> inspired to come up with a fun poster.\r\n\r\nPitts Endorses UFO Book<\/strong><\/span>\r\n\"\"<\/a>Astronomer Derrick Pitts<\/strong>, an occasional guest on the Late Late Show has endorsed a book about UFO’s, saying scientists should be able to examine the issue “…without all the stigma involved.”\u00c2\u00a0 The website OpenMinds.net<\/a> details the books and its upcoming paperback release.\r\n
