{"id":1094,"date":"2010-09-15T02:59:37","date_gmt":"2010-09-15T02:59:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/\/?p=1094"},"modified":"2011-02-18T03:12:07","modified_gmt":"2011-02-18T03:12:07","slug":"craig-ferguson-geoff-wootstock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rsanews.com\/new\/craig-ferguson-geoff-wootstock\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"\"\"<\/a>With the massive popularity of comic book\/science fiction\/fantasy\/anime conventions around the country, it’s no surprise that geeks of all stripes enjoy getting together.\u00c2\u00a0 One of the latest efforts is called “w00tstock<\/a>“.\u00c2\u00a0 Instead of a multi-day convention with many rooms, events and sessions, the idea is a three hour concert-style event with some geek heroes on stage:\u00c2\u00a0 Adam Savage from the Discovery Channel series Mythbusters<\/em>, author\/actor\/blogger Wil Wheaton (of Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/em> fame) and the Washington DC-based comic duo of Paul and Storm.\r\n\r\nApparently, one of the special guests at the event in San Francisco this Thursday and Friday night will be a new robot from Grant Imahara, creator of Geoff Petersen.\u00c2\u00a0 The new robot is being called “Beerbot”.\r\n
Paul and Storm are already talking him up on Twitter:\u00c2\u00a0 This week’s #w00tstock<\/a> SF will also feature @grantimahara<\/a>‘s newest creation: #BeerBot<\/a>. Eat it, @CraigyFerg<\/a>! http:\/\/bit.ly\/w00tSF<\/a><\/em>\r\n\r\nCraig responded to their taunt this way:\u00c2\u00a0 @paulandstorm<\/a> Do not further anger Geoff P. He’s still pretty pissed at @grantimahara<\/a> for not giving him genitalia. #kindoffrankensteiny<\/a><\/em>\r\n\r\nTo which Paul replied:\u00c2\u00a0 @CraigyFerg<\/a> [P] That’s entirely understandable; @grantimahara<\/a> can be so cruel. But hey: BeerBot will also dispense soft drinks! #sorryGeoff<\/a><\/em>\r\n\r\nAnd Grant Imahara added: @CraigyFerg<\/a> @paulandstorm<\/a> Um, I thought adding robotic genitalia on Geoff Petereson might endanger humanity… <\/em><\/blockquote>\r\n<\/em>You may be right, Grant.\u00c2\u00a0 If any robokellies are going to w00tstock, we’d enjoy hearing your stories and any still pictures.\u00c2\u00a0 Future events with guests yet to be determined are scheduled for October 27th in Los Angeles and November 3rd in Dallas.\r\n\r\nLast night’s show ran long, so they are promising that Ellie Kemper will appear on Wednesday, as Late Late Show producer Michael Naidus tweeted last night:\u00c2\u00a0 Tonight’s Late Late Show: too many good guests! Which means one of them (the adorable Ellie Kemper) will delay her appearnce til Wednesday. <\/em>We’re not sure what that might mean for scheduled guests Don Rickles and Brie Larson.
