{"id":11548,"date":"2011-08-22T02:15:34","date_gmt":"2011-08-22T02:15:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rsanews.com\/?p=11548"},"modified":"2011-08-23T02:21:50","modified_gmt":"2011-08-23T02:21:50","slug":"craig-ferguson-back-from-summer-break","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rsanews.com\/new\/craig-ferguson-back-from-summer-break\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"Craig is Back!<\/strong><\/span>\"\"<\/a>\r\nAfter a long stretch of hard work that included live concert appearances around the US (and even one in St. Petersburg in Russia), a week of taping on the streets of Paris (nicely reviewed by 411mania.com<\/a>), working on screenplays and his regular routine on the Late Late Show in Los Angeles, Craig Ferguson<\/strong> took a well-deserved summer break for the first three weeks of August, spending time with family in Scotland and in California.\u00c2\u00a0 Starting Monday, he’s back in the saddle with all-new episodes of the Late Late Show, starting off with his old chum, Hugh Laurie<\/strong> and the charming Saffron Burrows<\/strong>.\u00c2\u00a0 While Craig and the LLS team were enjoying their break, plenty of things happened!\u00c2\u00a0 Take a look:\r\n\r\nStand Up on Comedy Central and DVD in October!<\/strong><\/span>\r\n\"\"<\/a>Craig’s newest stand up comedy special, Does This Need To Be Said?<\/em> was recorded last November in Nashville.\u00c2\u00a0 It debuted in February on the EPIX cable channel and EpixHD.com, and came to Netflix in May.\u00c2\u00a0 On October 15th, it will appear for the first time on Comedy Central, giving a whole new audience a chance to set it.\u00c2\u00a0 Then, three days later on October 18th, the DVD of the show will finally be released.\u00c2\u00a0 The DVD is available for pre-order on Amazon.com<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Also coming soon on DVD are the two “prequel” movies of the BBC series Doc Martin<\/em>, featuring the character Craig created for his movie Saving Grace<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 The RSA’s @Phobos8<\/strong> tells us that episodes of the show are now available on Hulu.com<\/a> and\u00c2\u00a0 BlogCritics.com<\/a> has a review.\u00c2\u00a0 Meanwhile, Winnie The Pooh<\/em> featuring Craig as Owl<\/strong> is due to be released in the UK<\/a> on Monday, August 22nd.\u00c2\u00a0 A US\/Canada release date has not been set but is expected in November.\r\n\r\nSesame Street<\/strong><\/span>\"\"<\/a>\r\nCraig will be among the celebrities making appearances on the new season of the beloved PBS children’s program Sesame Street<\/em>, reports Entertainment Weekly<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 A specific date for Craig’s appearance has not been released but the new season begins September 26th.\u00c2\u00a0 Frequent LLS guest Joel McHale<\/strong> will also appear on the show.\r\n\r\nNerdist on BBC America<\/strong><\/span>\r\nEarlier this summer, the @Nerdist Chris Hardwick<\/strong> taped a pilot episode of a television version of his podcast for BBC America, including Craig has his first guest.\u00c2\u00a0 After several weeks of uncertainty, the network decided to put the show on the air, September 24th at 10pm ET\/PT as Chris tweeted:\r\n
