{"id":12296,"date":"2011-10-01T02:15:30","date_gmt":"2011-10-01T02:15:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rsanews.com\/?p=12296"},"modified":"2011-10-02T02:14:55","modified_gmt":"2011-10-02T02:14:55","slug":"craig-ferguson-hirschfeld-avatar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rsanews.com\/new\/craig-ferguson-hirschfeld-avatar\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"Craig’s Avatar<\/strong><\/span>\"\"<\/a>\r\nCraig decided to update his avatar from his Paris photo near the Eiffel Tower to a drawing of him done by the late Al Hirschfeld<\/a><\/strong>, who for decades was the most noted caricaturist of the stars, from Broadway to Hollywood and beyond.\u00c2\u00a0 If you had your portrait done by Hirschfeld, you knew that you had “made it”. \u00c2\u00a0 The image of Craig is actually a detail from a larger drawing<\/a> of the cast of The Drew Carey Show<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 If you look very closely at Craig’s hair on the right side, you’ll see the word “Nina” embedded in it.\u00c2\u00a0 That was a whimsical touch Hirschfeld added to nearly all of his drawings, as a tribute to his daughter.\r\n\r\nCraig Caricatures and Drawings<\/strong><\/span>\r\nCraig’s avatar got us wondering about how many different drawings of Craig there are out there.\u00c2\u00a0 We found several and have linked directly to each artist’s page to give them proper credit:\r\n
