A 15-minute wrap-up of the day’s events will be broadcast right after your late local news, followed by Late Night with David Letterman<\/em> and the Late Late Show.\r\n\r\nTelevision City History<\/strong><\/span>\r\n\"\"<\/a>As the week winds to a close, we thought we’d take one more look at some CBS Television City history. As we’ve been reporting this week, the facility originally opened in 1952 and has undergone several rounds of remodeling. In addition to the Late Late Show, the shows currently being produced there include The Young and the Restless<\/em>, The Bold and the Beautiful<\/em>, Real Time with Bill Maher<\/em>, American Idol<\/em>, Dancing With The Stars<\/em> and of course, The Price Is Right<\/em>.\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>Television City has been the scene for some great programs over the years, on CBS and on other networks. Among the shows that recorded at least part, if not all, of their run on site are: Burns and Allen<\/em>, The Twilight Zone<\/em>, Pas\"\"<\/a>sword<\/em> with Allen Ludden<\/strong> and Betty White<\/strong>, The Carol Burnett Show<\/em>, Wheel of Fortune<\/em>, Family Feud<\/em>, The Gong Show<\/em>, Match Game<\/em>, Good Times<\/em>, The Merv Griffin Show<\/em>, Tic Tac Dough<\/em>, I’ve Got A Secret<\/em>, The Jeffersons<\/em>, The Judy Garland Show<\/em>, Playboy After Dark<\/em>, <\/em><\/em>\"\"<\/a> All in the Family<\/em>, <\/em>The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour<\/em>, Three’s Company<\/em>, Welcome Back Kotter<\/em>, <\/em>Tony Orlando and Dawn<\/em>, \"\"<\/a>The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour<\/em>, <\/em>The Roseanne Show<\/em>, Deal or No Deal<\/em>, and even occasional Los Angeles episodes of Late Night with David Letterman<\/em> and The Ed Sullivan Show<\/em>.\r\n\r\nTelevision City was designed at first to be a production facility primarily for live television programs. Reliable video tape was not used regularly until the mid-50’s.
