As Deadline.com<\/a> first reported, the shows are in development, each headed by an executive producer\/writer with previous credits on the network. As is often the case in Hollywood, this is just one step in a long road to getting the shows produced. The deal does not mean CBS has agreed to air the new shows, only that it is putting some financial weight behind them as they are developed. A pilot script for each will be written, the shows could be preliminarily cast and a pilot episode could be shot in the coming months.
