Photo Courtesy: Ithaca Times<\/p><\/div>Excitement in Ithaca<\/strong><\/span>\r\nJust hours before Craig Ferguson<\/strong>‘s Thursday evening stand up comedy performance in Ithaca, New York, a portion of the city’s downtown area was temporarily closed off as police investigated a suspicious package near a bank building. The State Theater where Craig performed was outside of the area cordoned off during the investigation and was not affected. Local media outlets, including radio station WHCU 870 AM<\/a> and the Ithaca Times<\/a>, reported that a package, possibly with the word “bomb” written on it, was found near the Bank of America branch in the downtown commons. An area bomb squad was called in to assist and the package was found to be “non-threatening” and was seized for evidence.\u00c2\u00a0 Again, the theater where Craig performed was near but outside the area affected by the investigation and authorities say people there were not in danger at any time.\r\n\r\nCraig and company made the trip up from Greenburg, Pennsylvania Wednesday night where the RSA’s @kierack<\/strong> tweeted:

Saw Craig live for the first time.doing stand-up he has much more freedom than his show. haven’t laughed that much in a long time!<\/p>\r\n\"\"<\/a>And they were in Hershey, Pennsylvania the night before, where the RSA’s @KristinaSchelle<\/strong> got a great photo of Craig on stage. Craig’s fall Live Comedy Tour<\/a> continues in Rochester, New York on Friday night, where tickets still remain available for the general public for both shows at the University of Rochester at 7:30pm and 10pm. Tickets will be on sale from 8am until the start of the final show at 10pm, in person at the student union, by phone or at the door. However, the University strongly suggests buying those tickets in advance because there are no guarantees that any tickets will remain at the door close to show time.\r\n\r\nRound of Golf<\/strong><\/span>\"\"<\/a>\r\nCraig’s assistant spent a decidedly more quiet morning in Ithaca with a round of golf. He tweeted:\r\n

After Letterman<\/strong><\/span>\"\"<\/a>\r\nThe RSA’s @003lili<\/strong> was outside the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York last week when Craig emerged from his interview on the show to sign some autographs for fans.
