It was NBC’s turn on Monday. Among the big announcements was world the contract for Tonight Show<\/em> host Jay Leno<\/strong> has been extended beyond 2014. While a specific expiration date was not mentioned, network executives indicated that they were pleased to have Leno, Jimmy Fallon<\/strong> and Carson Daly<\/strong> forming their late-night lineup. The website TheCelebrityCafe.com<\/a> and the Washington Post<\/a> reported on the discussion.\r\n\r\nIn a world where the networks strive for parity, Leno’s contract extension may delay not only Jimmy Fallon’s expected promotion, but perhaps David Letterman<\/strong>‘s departure. Both Letterman and Craig Ferguson’s contracts are up on 2014.
