{"id":2144,"date":"2010-11-10T03:15:04","date_gmt":"2010-11-10T03:15:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/\/?p=2144"},"modified":"2011-02-16T02:09:54","modified_gmt":"2011-02-16T02:09:54","slug":"craig-ferguson-peoples-choice-voting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rsanews.com\/new\/craig-ferguson-peoples-choice-voting\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"\"\"<\/a>It was a valiant effort, but a stream of RSA tweets and write-in votes weren’t enough this time.\u00c2\u00a0 Craig Ferguson<\/strong> was not among the top five nominees for Favorite Talk Show Host in the People\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Choice Awards.\u00c2\u00a0 Because they were not in the top 12 in ratings in their category, neither Craig nor Jimmy Fallon<\/strong> were listed on the nominations ballot, which meant it would have taken a massive write-in vote to crack the top five.\u00c2\u00a0 Those nominated included Chelsea Handler<\/strong>, Conan O\u00e2\u20ac\u009dBrien<\/strong>, Ellen Degeneres<\/strong>, George Lopez <\/strong>and Oprah Winfrey<\/strong>.\u00c2\u00a0 We\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d guess that since Conan\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s new show is generating a lot of excitement and because this is Oprah\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s last season, those two may have the best chance this year.\u00c2\u00a0 The People\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Choice Award winners will be unveiled at the awards ceremony on CBS January 5th.\r\n\r\nThe RSA’s @SexyCraigFerg <\/strong>makes a good point:\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Well at least HTTYD and KickAss are both nominated… <\/em>You can still show some Craigy love by voting for both of those films until December 7th.\u00c2\u00a0 How To Train Your Dragon<\/em> is nominated for Best Family Movie and Kick Ass<\/em> is nominated for Best Action Movie, both of which feature Craig.\r\n\r\nAnd if you are in a voting mood, you can still nominate Craig for a Mashable.com award for “Must-Follow Personality<\/a>“.\u00c2\u00a0 First round voting continues through November 29.\u00c2\u00a0 When the top five names are announced, final voting runs from December 1st through the 15th.\u00c2\u00a0 Winners will be announced January 6th.\r\n\r\nIf you enjoyed the podcast of Kevin Pollak’s Chat Show with Craig, you might want to put in a vote for the show in the podcast awards<\/a>, perhaps as best video podcast or in the entertainment category.\r\n\r\nAre you going to Nashville to see Craig live on stage November 20th?\u00c2\u00a0 The RSA’s @HMSFox<\/strong> <\/a>is putting together a seating chart.\u00c2\u00a0 If you’d like to be included, just tweet her with show time, seat number and whether you want your Twitter name indicated next to your seat.\u00c2\u00a0 She is also helping to organize tweetups in Nashville.\u00c2\u00a0 More details about specific dates and times are coming soon.\u00c2\u00a0 And of course if you have a review, blog or still pictures from a live show you’d like to share with the rest of the RSA, please let us know.\u00c2\u00a0 Tweet us any time @RSA_News<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Craig confirmed Monday that he is taping a new comedy special in Nashville.\u00c2\u00a0 A few tickets<\/a> remain for both the 7pm and 9:45pm shows.\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>On Tuesday’s Late Late Show, Craig talks with actress Cheryl Hines<\/strong> and lets chef Wolfgang Puck<\/strong> boss him around.\u00c2\u00a0 On Wednesday, Craig welcomes actor Tim Meadows<\/strong> and comic book creator Stan Lee<\/strong>.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
