In January, he’ll be in Miami to host an awards ceremony<\/a> at a convention of the National Association of Television Programming Executives. Jay Leno<\/strong> will be among the honorees receiving the Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Award, named for the late NBC executive who led the network’s entertainment division through some of its most successful years in the 1980s, which recognizes achievement in creating television programming. The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> says Leno is nearing a deal to host a prime-time show on CNBC which will focus on his appreciation for cars.
