\nDear friends,

\nSince Febuary 8th, 2010, the day Craig Ferugson<\/strong> joined Twitter, we’ve been providing news and information about Craig. We joined Twitter that very night to become a member of his “Robot Skeleton Army” of Twitter followers, and quickly built a page on Blogger.com, called the Robot Skeleton Army News<\/strong>. We would post an update each day about what Craig was doing on The Late Late Show<\/em> and what his Twitter followers were tweeting about. Later that year, we developed the RSANews.com<\/strong> website as a central place for fans to gather and get the latest news about our favorite comedian, writer, actor, producer, director and author. As some of you may remember, we posted news every single day, seven days a week for five years, usually taking only one week a year off for the holidays.

\nAs Craig’s following gradually grew from a few thousand people to more than two million, more people heard what we were doing with the Robot Skeleton Army News. We dutifully reported all of the Craig-related news we could find (on our own and with the help of other fans), earning more than two million page views to the website, nearly 2000 fans on Facebook and approaching 8000 followers on Twitter.

\nWhen Craig left The Late Late Show<\/em> at the end of 2014 and there was less day-to-day news to report about guests or things he had talked about on the show, we scaled back to provide weekly updates, continuing to post links on Facebook and Twitter with interesting news and sending out our weekly newsletter. We included details about Craig’s History Channel show Join Or Die<\/em>, his three-year run on the game show Celebrity Name Game<\/em> and his daily radio show on SiriusXM.

\nDuring that time, we’ve had a chance to interview Craig a couple of times and talk about his many different projects. Looking ahead to 2019, Craig has told us he plans to do some standup comedy appearances in the spring, followed by a short book tour to promote his new memoir in May. Kathie Lee Gifford<\/strong>‘s new movie Then Came You<\/em>, which co-stars Craig, is due for release soon. He’ll appear as a voice actor in upcoming animated films, including How To Train Your Dragon 3<\/em>.

\nBeyond that, he is considering doing more writing, but wants to step back from the day-to-day routine of radio, television and film production for much of the year. And fair enough, he’s earned it. It appears clear that his future projects will focus on short-term commitments, rather than the daily demands of a radio or TV talk show. Eventually, his follow up novel to Between The Bridge And The River<\/em>, titled Sphinx Of The Mississippi<\/em>, will be coming out, perhaps in 2019 or 2020. He may work on a few projects in Scotland as well, but they may be widely scattered time-wise.

\nBetween 2010-2014, there was enough news for us to post every day. And from 2015-2018, there has usually been something of interest to report most weeks, although some of them admittedly were pretty quiet weeks. But because of Craig’s plans for the coming year, we anticipate there will be very little public news about our fearless leader in 2019. As a result, after nine years of regular posts, we are planning to take a step back, and end posting on a regular schedule.

\nBeginning today, we will be posting only occasionally, whenever Craig-related news warrants it. For example, we’ll update everyone when the 2019 stand up tour dates are announced, and let you know when and where Craig will be appearing to promote his book. Any time we put up a post on the website, we’ll post links to it on Facebook and Twitter, and those who are subscribed to our email newsletter will get a link in their inbox. If you haven’t already signed up for the newsletter, now would be a good time, so you’ll know when new posts have been published. Craig has told us he appreciates our work and supports our plans to continue.
