{"id":32371,"date":"2023-01-24T20:15:56","date_gmt":"2023-01-25T02:15:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rsanews.com\/new\/?p=32371"},"modified":"2023-01-24T22:07:24","modified_gmt":"2023-01-25T04:07:24","slug":"craig-ferguson-pitches-new-late-night-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rsanews.com\/new\/craig-ferguson-pitches-new-late-night-show\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"\"\"A return to late night?<\/strong><\/span>\r\n\r\nIn typical Craig Ferguson<\/strong> zig-when-the-others-zag fashion, it appears our fearless leader could find his way back to the late night airwaves after nearly eight years away.\r\n\r\nA half-hour show<\/a> called Channel Surf with Craig Ferguson<\/em> is in the works, in which Craig and friends will look back on, and no doubt hilariously comment on, current shows on TV, perhaps in the spirit of Joel McHale<\/strong>‘s The Soup<\/em>, which ran on E! for a decade.\r\n\r\nIt’s being pitched to station groups to run in syndication, so whether, where and when it might run is still up in the air. Craig has been in Los Angeles this week, meeting with station executives. Longtime writer and half of Secretariat Joe Bolter<\/strong> will be a part of the show as well.\r\n\r\nSony Pictures Television, with companies like Screen Gems and Columbia Pictures Television in its ancestry and hundreds of shows<\/a>, and a current slate of shows including Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen<\/em>, Shark Tank<\/em>, The Crown<\/em>, and perennial syndicated favorites Jeopardy!<\/em> and Wheel of Fortune<\/em> is behind the project.\r\n\r\nIt may be the spring before we know if the show gets the green light, so we’ll keep you posted.\r\n\r\nComedy Tour Continues<\/strong><\/span>\r\nIn the meantime, Craig continues to perform standup comedy.
