{"id":6265,"date":"2011-02-20T00:15:09","date_gmt":"2011-02-20T00:15:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rsanews.com\/?p=6265"},"modified":"2011-02-20T04:49:36","modified_gmt":"2011-02-20T04:49:36","slug":"craig-ferguson-stand-up-special-debut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rsanews.com\/new\/craig-ferguson-stand-up-special-debut\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"\"\"<\/a>Craig Ferguson<\/strong>‘s stand up comedy special Does This Need To Be Said<\/em> debuted Saturday night on EPIX.\u00c2\u00a0 Now that the debut presentation is over, you can see the special on EpixHD.com any time.\u00c2\u00a0 See our Epix Stand Up Special<\/a> page for details.\r\n\r\nAs for Saturday night itself, it was an adventure.\u00c2\u00a0 After spending weeks refurbishing the rsanews.com website, checking and double-checking everything and being ready… our site crashed, just before the special began.\u00c2\u00a0 We’re not sure if it was because of a big rush of the Robot Skeleton Army all at once but we were on the phone with our hosting provider and the site was completely down for at least twenty minutes and in rough shape for longer than that.\u00c2\u00a0 If you tried to log in to the site between 7:45 and 8:30pm ET Saturday night, please accept our apologies.\u00c2\u00a0 We’ve been online here with you for nearly a year and never crashed until tonight.\u00c2\u00a0 It was terrible timing but we’re back up and running now.\r\n\r\nAs for EpixHD.com, they had some troubles of their own.\u00c2\u00a0 Several skellies reported having difficultly logging on, or when they logged on, they couldn’t get the program to start.\u00c2\u00a0 The good news is that now that the debut is over, you can see the show online any time, and the demand should slow down.\r\n\r\nAgain, we’re sorry if you couldn’t see our site or join the live chat as the show was going on.\u00c2\u00a0 We’re bribing our hosting service with promises of chicken and candy, to do better next time.\r\n\r\nThere is other news going on as well:\r\n\r\n\"\"<\/a>How To Train Your Dragon<\/em> has been nominated for a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award<\/a> for Favorite Animated Movie.\u00c2\u00a0 Also nominated are Despicable Me<\/em>, Shrek Forever After<\/em> and Toy Story 3<\/em>.\r\n\r\nOur friends at EpixHD.com sent us a final interview clip<\/a> with Craig talking about his comedic influences.\r\n\r\nAs Craig has discussed in several interviews over the past week, the special represents the hard work of building and fine-tuning his stand up act.\u00c2\u00a0 Now that the special is being released, Craig will be working on lots of new material for his new tour.\u00c2\u00a0 There are still a few tickets left to see him in Denver in March, as he sharpens his new act at the Comedy Works.\u00c2\u00a0 Then he moves on to Windsor, Ontario and a southern swing through Tulsa, Austin and Fort Worth.\u00c2\u00a0 See the most up-to-date tour itinerary and ticket information on our Live Comedy Tour<\/a> page any time.\r\n\r\nWe keep track of the guests scheduled to appear on the Late Late Show so you don’t have to.\u00c2\u00a0 Want to know who’s going to be on the show?\u00c2\u00a0 We’ll include our usual weekly list in our Monday post but you can check out the up-to-date guests<\/a> page any time.\r\n\r\nWe hope you enjoyed the special!","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
